This rice is grown without any chemical fertilizers and pesticides like DDT. Conventional rice is polished. Polishing removes the outer nutritional layer. Unpolished rice retains its nutritional value in the form of natural fibre, vitamins, and protein. Data shows that a large number of farmers may use pesticides such as DDT to ensure good yield in conventional rice farming methods.
